Touch and Align: The Art of Hands-On Assistant Workshop

This 2-day immersive experience welcomes Yoga Instructors aiming to refine their expertise in enhancing "hands-on assist," along with students intrigued by delving deeper into their understanding of asanas and their practice via the art of assisting.

The topics covered will encompass various facets of Physical Guidance, including:

-Comprehension of the significance and reasons behind the practice of holding space.

- Diverse approaches to assistance  (energetically & physically)

- The purpose and intention behind each assist and the selection process

- The method, the assist itself, and disengagement

- Different assistant approaches for each posture, adapted to each student uniqueness

- Incorporating Props to enhance and facilitate the student’s journey

Programme (subject to timing and flow):

Saturday morning:

9am-12pm:                 Introduction, intention of assistance, selected standing poses.

1:30pm – 5pm            Forward folds

Sunday 

9am – 1pm                  Backbends, Twist & Savasana

Closing

As we are actively engaged both energetically and physically and wish to ensure you have ample practice time, please be aware that each day's schedule may extend by approximately 30 minutes.
