Yin Yoga is a practice of long-held asanas where we passively stretch our tissues. It is a grounding practice that allows the body and mind to find calmness.
In this workshop, we will cover the basics about Yin Yoga, including:
- Difference between yin & yang yoga
- Active vs. passive stretching (fascia)
- Basic yin yoga poses & playing with variations
- Using props in your yin yoga practice
This workshop is for you if you are curious about yin yoga. It is also for you if you want to expand your yoga practice and to learn more about your body and mind.
Some basic knowledge and experience with yin yoga are recommended but not necessarily needed. Apart from the theoretical workshop parts, we will also do a 30min Hatha Yoga flow and a full 60min Yin Yoga practice.
There are a few spots available in the studio. If you are joining online, you will need the following props at home:
- 2 blankets
- 2 blocks (or books)
- belt or scarf
- yoga bolster or large pillow
- a few smaller pillows/meditation cushion
The workshop is donation-based (recommendation 50-80 CHF depending on your financial situation).
