Original Bachata — Summer Intensive with Kiko

Five evenings. A solo journey into the footwork, hips, and feeling that started it all.

This summer intensive takes you back to the roots of Bachata — the original style, before the modern variations. The grounded steps, the syncopated footwork, the natural hip movement, the connection to the music that defines real Bachata.

A solo course — no partner needed.

Taught by Kiko

Kiko is one of the artists behind KC Dance Studio and an internationally experienced Bachata dancer. His teaching focuses on what makes Bachata feel like Bachata: clean footwork, honest hip movement, and the musicality that connects you to every song.

What to expect

Five focused evenings of pure solo work — patterns and movement you can enjoy on your own, and bring into your partnerwork whenever you want.

You'll work on:

• The foundational footwork patterns of Original Bachata
• Natural hip and body movement from the Dominican tradition
• Musicality — how to feel and respond to the rhythm
• Solo patterns that come alive on the social floor

Take it home — final course video

At the end of the intensive, you'll receive a video of the taught patterns and sequences — performed by Kiko with counts and music, filmed from the front and from the back. So you can keep practising at home, long after the course ends.
