MASTERING HATHA YOGA: THE SEVEN ATTRIBUTES AND PRACTICES
- Datum
- Beginnt am Sa., 19.9.2026
A life of prosperity and contentment—spiritual as well as material—is the ultimate aim of Yoga. Nowhere is this intention more fully expressed than in Tantra’s approach. Its premise is simple: success and happiness arise most naturally in those who embody seven essential qualities.
What many practitioners discover—often with some surprise—is how directly these qualities apply to everyday life: greater patience, certainly, but also enhanced creativity, a more harmonious relationship with oneself, others, and the world, and a deeper sense of capability. Each of these qualities is cultivated through accessible and practical yogic methods.
Drawing on more than 45 years of practice, study, and teaching, Rod will guide an experiential journey where theory and practice converge. Each session integrates āsana, prāṇāyāma, bandha, mudrā, and meditation, building progressively from the refinement of body and breath toward subtler inner work—leading to strength, clarity of perception, and a sense of freedom.
These seven practices reflect yoga’s comprehensive path of developing the body, mind, subtle body, and psyche. All experienced students are welcome.
Each session can be attended individually or as a full immersion.
Steadiness and Patience
Saturday, 19.09.2026, 09:00-12:00
Steadiness and patience are key psychological and energetic outcomes of practice. Here, āsana, combined with breathwork, becomes the means of developing this capacity. This opening session emphasizes a deep, foundational approach to āsana, designed to cultivate steadiness in both body and mind, paired with specialized breathing techniques that support mental stability. Together, these practices lay the groundwork upon which all deeper work rests.
Purity and Lightness
Saturday, 19.09.2026, 14:00-17:00
What yoga refers to as lightness of the body is something most of us recognize immediately: a sense of greater energy, joy, and clarity. This session builds on that foundation, cultivating steadiness even within a world of constant change—opening the way toward a deeper experience of well-being.
Through āsana and prāṇāyāma, we access the life force directly. Scattered attention is gathered, anxiety and stress dissolve, and a more refined perception begins to emerge.
Determination and Intention
Sunday, 20.09.2026, 09:00-12:00
Sunday morning’s first session focuses on dissolving the obstructions that dissipate focus and weaken capacity. From this clearer ground, the practice turns to mudrā—one of the most auspicious yogic techniques—alongside an introduction to bandha. Together, these practices cultivate the energetic resolve the tradition identifies as essential for success in both worldly and spiritual life. Often, their positive effects begin to unfold immediately.
Direct Perception and Detachment
Sunday, 20.09.2026, 14:00-17:00
The final two attributes—direct perception and freedom—can seem out of reach. Yet through systematic practice, they become accessible. In this session, we cultivate the ability to cut through distraction and touch what has always been waiting to be seen—an inherent, unsurpassed calm that is ever-present, always ready to guide us.
